In May 2016, EA declared the engineers of Unravel, Goodwood Interactive, had marked a distributing bargain for their next diversion. This amusement was later affirmed to be Unravel Two.
On June ninth, 2018, at their 2018 E3 public interview, EA reported Unravel Two would be discharged that equivalent day. As per the amusement's maker, Michael Gill, Unravel Two was not discharged on the Nintendo Switch as "it would have taken another a large part of a year or somewhere in the vicinity."
On February 13, 2019, Nintendo declared that the amusement would land on the Nintendo Switch through its Nintendo Direct introduction.
